David coaching England's Senior Women's National Team
David worked with the team when I played for FC Kansas City. His expertise was hugely helpful when it came to tactical analysis and individual feedback in particular. David is very knowledgeable about the game in general, but his ability to pinpoint details and help us to implement them on the field is brilliant. He's a pleasure to work with and was a very valuable resource to the club.
Executive Director of the National Women's Soccer League Players Associaation
and former US Women's National team player
It was great to work with Goughy in the lead up to the World Cup, he was a great coach who was great to have around the team & someone who I always felt was really approachable and always filled you with confidence as a player... He was a hard worker & liked to work with players individually to work on their weaknesses. For me, his attention to detail was first class on both myself & the opposition we was coming up against.

I worked closely with David during his post with my national team. I found his technical detail and information delivery perfect for my position on the field and the player I am. I benefited hugely from the belief that David gave me in 1-on-1 video meetings and also on the pitch. I loved his appoach to the game and his passion and appreciation for technical midfield play. I'd highly recommend David because I think his experience is invaluable, especially when working with players on a 1-on-1 basis.

He really helped me during his time with the National Team, he helped me break down and look at my game in huge detail and improve my confidence at the highest level. I always made time to go and see him to work on my game individually.

Match Day -2 England v USA WNT inaugural SHEBelieves Cup 2016 - USA
I worked closely with David throughout the women's World Cup in Canada 2015 where I believed we built a great working relationship. I would like to highlight his qualities as a coach but also as a person; he has a great ability to shine either when working with a team or on an individual basis, along with a very passionate attitude towards his work, an impressive enthusiasm for solving problems with a high level of professionalism. However, the thing that stood out to me most was his love for the game but also the love for making people shine. He is the ultimate confidence builder. A guy that taught me a lot about myself and my game.

I have known David for some five years now having worked with him at Cardiff City Football Club. He has much experience in the game of football. He is an intelligent student of the game. David was reliable, trustworthy and industrious in the professional relationship I had with him, was of a "cheery nature as an individual with a good sense of humour and was good company. He is prepared to state his opinion on matters that are relevant and will discuss differences of opinion if not agreeing, whilst contributing to the eventual course of action that was decided - ideal in a professional environment. He has a passion for the game of football, is industrious in his endeavours to progress and learn and is reliable when required to take on a project of work. In my experience a good worker, reliable, able to lead with ideas and action.
I recommend David to you both as an employee and as a person.

I am of the opinion that Mr. Gough is an individual of extraordinary ability in the field of youth soccer performance coaching and he stands out amongst his peers as one of the very few individuals to have reached such a level of expertise. I have known about Mr. Gough given his outstanding reputation in the soccer community for several years. In the years preceding his rise to the top of the game at International level and here at the professional level in the USA. Mr. Gough has had a tremendous career as a soccer coach. I can vouch for his career achievements and qualifications, which include the UEFA A License and a Master's Degree in High Performance Coaching. Furthermore, I have become familiar with his outstanding contributions to the pursuit of excellence as an elite youth soccer coach. It is my opinion that Mr. Gough, as an individual with extraordinary ability in the field of youth performance coaching, has risen to the very top echelons of his professional A level that only a handful of people in the world have ever reached. His record of success, demonstrated by the tangible improvements of the players, teams, and coaches he works with earned him the well deserved reputation of being an international authority in youth soccer coaching.

I worked with David very early on in our career and one of the first things that struck me about him was his ability to connect with the players on a personal level. He did this by going the extra mile for the players in their individual development and performance and showing a genuine care for their improvement.
David has a great work ethic and attention to detail which is essential for any top level coach.

I worked with David Gough for two years in the Cardiff city youth team. In that period I felt a massive improvement in my game coming from a non professional environment. Which led me to receiving a professional contract. Goughy's attention to detail is superb in both the physical and tactical aspect of the game. Top 1 on 1 coach and very honest in his work. Great man, top coach!

I had the pleasure of working with Goughy at Cardiff city. Goughy brings a lot of knowledge and experience, but his attention to detail was as good as it gets. He invested a lot of time and effort with me 1-on-1. Helping me to develop various aspects of my game, with the use of video analysis of my own game and elite level players who I was aspiring to play like. More importantly than all that, his calmness, honesty and man management was on point every day. Great coach and all round top guy.

It was a pleasure working with Goughy at youth team at Cardiff City. He brings a lot of knowledge and wisdom and is exceptional 1-on-1 coaching. He invested a lot of time 1-on-1 with me to develop various aspects of my game, doing drills and even video analysis of elite level players. I owe a lot to David for where I am today as the time he invested into me was priceless. I can remember I went through a phase of hitting the woodwork in games so in the warm ups just before the game he would make me get it out of my system and hit each post and the crossbar. Great man and a great coach.
